For the last 10 years, I have been immersed in the world of digital payments and identity, and in the last five I started to dive into blockchain and Web3.
Professionally, I have spent a big chunk of those 10 years at working at Apple, on Apple Pay and Apple Card (from inception to launch), and also at Visa, in their digital wallet and innovation team, and Santander Bank, as General Manager for Digital Consumer Payments.
My goal is to build high-growth profitable businesses, that facilitate access to payments, finance and identity, to help people earn a living, manage their money, and improve their lives, in the real world and the metaverse, and using the latest technologies.
Personally, these last 10 years have seen me move back-and-forth between the US and Europe, start a family, continue to develop a growth mindset, become an unapologetic advocate for women, and a convinced practician of exercise and mediation as key sources of well-being.
My goal is to continue to 'let go' of control, and allow life to keep surprising me. My daughter taught me this is the best, and really only, way to go.
I like writing, as a way to crystalize my thoughts, and a means to bring others along in my journey. Connect with me if you find these topics, and my writings, interesting.
Adobe & Figma: Today & Tomorrow
Authors: Trish Burgess & Gretchen Rodriguez
Adobe’s acquisition of Figma prompted many conversations between us. First about the acquisition itself, then about the synergies between the companies, and finally imagining Adobe's future: Building the Creator’s OS in a future where ‘social media is becoming ‘creators media’; expanding its capabilities in the gaming and 3D spaces; increasing its role in EdTech.
With help from Laura Prieto and David True, we put our thoughts into this document.
